2020 will be remembered in history books as a pivotal shift in the global paradigm. In many ways, it will serve as the year another generational call to consciousness was had.

This is not the first moment in recent history this type of change has been set in motion. Bobby Kennedy gave a speech at the University of Cape Town in 1966, directed at the youth who were active in the counterculture and anti-imperialist struggles of the time.

The Kennedy speech eerily spoke to what was happening even during the 2020 protest following the horrfic events which led to the death of George Floyd, and this speech serves as the backdrop of the audiovisual aspect of this exhibit. It affirmed what many people were fighting against during that era, and continue to fight against today. The advancement of humanism in the global community.
